1. Who We Are

Parcelle (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a software-as-a-service platform for professional viticulturists, operated at parcelle.wine. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights over it.

2. Data We Collect

• Account data — name, email address, and password (hashed) when you sign up.
• Organisation data — organisation name and slug you provide during onboarding.
• Vine and measurement data — GPS coordinates, vine attributes, and field measurements you record.
• Usage data — vine counts and member counts for billing purposes.
• Billing data — payment details are handled directly by Stripe. We store only your Stripe customer and subscription IDs.
• Log data — IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited for security and debugging.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Parcelle service.
• To process subscription billing via Stripe.
• To send transactional emails (account verification, billing receipts).
• To monitor and enforce subscription limits.
• To investigate security incidents or abuse.

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your vine or field data for any purpose other than delivering the service to you.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL with PostGIS), hosted on AWS infrastructure. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. Access is controlled by row-level security policies scoped to your organisation. We retain your data for as long as your account is active, plus 30 days after account deletion for backup recovery.

5. Third-Party Services

• Stripe — payment processing. Subject to Stripe's privacy policy.
• Supabase — database and authentication hosting.
• Vercel — application hosting and edge delivery.
• CARTO / ESRI — map tile providers. Tile requests include your approximate viewport coordinates but no personal data.

6. Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies. No cookie consent banner is required for strictly necessary cookies.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Export your vine and measurement data in JSON format.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice in the dashboard. Continued use of Parcelle after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
